Bad Brains will re-release most of their discography in 2021 and 2022

Bad Brains

Bad Brains, one of the most influential punk bands of all time, will be re-releasing the majority of their back catalog. The Washington DC band has acquired the rights to their discography after several court battles.

Bassist Darryl Jenifer onfirmed the news by saying that, following a lot of time spent in courts, the band, once again, owns the rights to their masters/recordings.

Furthermore, Jenifer told fans that the band has unearthed rare photos and recordings dating back to the group’s earliest days. Bad Brains released their debut, self-titled album in 1977. The influence of the album was profound throughout punk, hardcore, or ska.

The group plans to begin re-releasing the albums in early 2021. Alongside the studio records, Bad Brains will also put out a series of their most important singles. These include Pay to Cum and I & I Survive.

The band plans to put out the records on their own imprint, ORG music. A trailer showcasing the scheduling of the releases can be viewed below.
