Kate Vogel – The Truth (Review)

Kate Vogel - The Truth

Kate Vogel crafts a gentle indie-folk ballad about the tragedy of sexual assault. It’s the storytelling here that is most interesting.

Vogel details the way in which the victim is shunned, and the event treated as a misunderstanding, at best, or a lie, at worst.

It’s a tricky subject to discuss, for sure, but Kate Vogel uses the confessional nature of the song to tell her side of the truth.
