The Pierce Project - Time is Absurd (Review)

The Pierce Project always have an ear for melody. That’s simply a fact.

It’s just what they do with those pleasant tunes that is sometimes questionable. On Time is absurd they sound like Weezer commissioned to write a song/sketch for Saturday Night Live.

It sounds like a slacker version of Tristan Tzara. With that being said, the ornamentation is really pretty, from the keys to the rhythm section to the aforementioned vocal melodies.

The Pierce Project are an absurdist pop group. Your being on the joke, or not, will determine your enjoyment of the song.
