There’s a plethora of high-quality, frenetic garage rock coming our of Sweden these days. While these bands, Allergic to Humans included, explore different themes and, may even use different instruments, what seems to tie them all of them together is a growing sense of frustration with life and music itself.
“Limestone rock” sounds like a group that’s been forced to jam our Creedence Clearwater Revival tunes for an hour, and are now happily stepping on the gas for an original. It sounds malicious as if someone pushing you out of the way in front of a store exit.
Punk and garage rock acts are keen on being seen as truthful. Well, I don’t know Allergic to Humans, but I’m ready to believe they are not merely posturing.
