Annie Dressner featuring Matthew Caws of Nada Surf - Midnight Bus

Annie Dressner’s Midnight Bus sound like the musical equivalent to a 90s alt-rock musician’s autobiography. It’s built on nostalgia, and fair bit of regret, sure.

But, it’s the way this is built that caught our attention, with strummed acoustic guitars accompanying hazy guitar arpeggios, and simple percussion elements knowing exactly when to enter. It’s very well-crafted.

So, it’s no surprise that Nada Surf’s Matthew Caws, a man whose built quite the legacy on elegantly crafter power-pop, would make an appearance towards the tune’s finale.
