I miss the days of the Klaxons, or the Kooks following hot on the steps of groups like the Arctic Monkeys or Kasabian, equipped with pinched pop-hooks and an ever-evolving sense of style.
Chay Snowdon have some of the same qualities, and I can see them working up festival audiences as soon as people are allowed to congregate for such events once more.
Not sure if the lyrics are tongue-in-cheek or meant to be a profound declaration, and frankly it doesn’t matter much. I’m expecting next to hear them in the early hours of the last indie-disco left open.
