Civic in the Sun sound like a 90s Lollapalooza poster came to life, formed a drunken all-star band, and got produced by one of the Motley Crues. There’s not much subtlety here, but it sounds heady and terrifying what with their Scott Weiland melodies, L7 power chords, and love of 90s hit singles.
With that being said, it’s all pro stuff, from the playing to the Josh Homme production values.
