I don’t quite get Dakota Blue, in spite of my uttermost interest, and remain frustrated by this fact.
However, judging by the artist’s mysterious sound and videos, this may be the point entirely. On Velvet in Silk like others of his work sound like the guitarist joined an orchestra that’s been hypnotized and they are now performing in your dreams.
The startling video captures quite a similar mood. I admit that I listened/watched this while trying to make use of all my powers of concentration. This was probably the wrong call. Clearly, this is music best saved up for late-night strolls in semi-deserted areas of the city.
