Depth Charger’s Duck Teeth is a political song. It’s about gun violence. Unlike most songs that deal with politics this is not a whiny ode holier than thou ode. Rather the voice crackles under the pressure of the subject, making room for itself in the mix, while the rest of the instruments play, mostly, a repetitive pattern that brings to mind the inevitability of violence in any era of history.
