Don't Call Me Shirley - Fly Away Indie Rock, Alternative Rock

The single’s artwork won’t give this away, and neither will their press release, but Don’t call me Shirley (the project of Brett Evans) has transplanted the heart of a goth-rocker.

There’s a melody that sounds as if it was misplaced by Davey Havok, and the instrumentation is evocative of post-Disintegration era The Cure. This is an indie project looking to land a teenage-movie soundtrack.
