Ducky Neptune – Know Yourself (Review)

Ducky Neptune - Know Yourself

Masters of captivating rhythms, Decky Neptune create a joyous, blissful noise on their debut EP. “Know Yourself” adds surf-rock reverb-drenched guitars to the playful Latin-rhythms that define the rest of the sound on their release.

The vocals are fitting of the indie-rock context in which the group’ music exists and are slightly reminiscent of the sound produced by indie-surf-rockers like the Drums. The lyrics stand as half-opaque, half anthem as the singer encourages the group’s audience to “Know themselves” in order to lose themselves truly.

Ducky Neptune’s debut EP shows a group still finding its sound, yet one equipped with a lot of energy and great charm.
