Ego Jones – Cycles (Review)

Ego Jones - Cycles

The beauty of alternative rock is how much a sound can change the meaning of a song. Take “Circles”, the Radiohead-inspired recent single from Ego Jones.

While the opening chord of the tune presents an ordinary alt-rock vision, it’s those echo-drenched single notes that frame it in a totally different, almost sinister light.

The rest of it, from the effects-drenched vocals, the shift in rhythm and the use of keys, uses the same concept and plays into Ego Jones’ strengths.
