Two of modern rock music’s most celebrated drummers, Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins and Soundgarden/Pearl Jam’s Matt Cameron, will start a new group together. Their band is called Nighttime Boogie Association and have just released a taster of their music.
If you’re wondering just who will handle what instrument, and who will sing, rest assured that the two musicians have already found a solution. The two songs released so far provide opportunies for both men to play the drums and write lyrics. Hawkins sings on the two compositions.
Talor Hawkins sings on Long in the took a song that he also wrote. Cameron plays guitar and bass on this track. He also wrote the drum machine parts.
The other song, The Path We’re On, had Cameron writing the lyrics. Hawkins sings on th song alongside the legendary Melvins frontman Buzz Osborne.
The two songs were released as part of a deluxe single release through the two musician’s own music label, Keep It Trippy Records.
