I find songs written about lazing around on a summer’s day to be endlessly sinister. Perhaps, this is just me.
But, with a beat and chord-progression that reminded me of Blue Murder, I was expecting this tune to fly sideways any moment.
It didn’t. It’s a love song. A very pretty one, albeit a little plain, like the summer dress Handsome Shirt muse about in the lyrics. Still, this will make you want to prepare a picnic by the river.
