Pop music trends have never pulled in more directions than they do in 2020. One of the more interesting, and challenging, from a production standpoint, is pop’s dabbling in alternative and indie music.
Canadian duo Hansom Ēli is one such example. Their music is certainly accessible and radio-friendly, but sound-wise, the process of assembling these tunes is very attractive.
Flow of the river, their recent single, is a piano-driven, folk-spiritual, electro-embellished hodgepodge. You may think that creating pop music is a task unworthy of their talents.
But, then again, in 2020, with the technical capabilities involved in making commercial music, it may be one of the more exciting places to be for some young artists.
