HIgh Water Bridge describe themselves as an experimental group. The five-piece band from Port Elizabeth, South Africa, have certainly attended the “Ian Curtis school of singing and drama“. They’ve also heard the Editors, I am sure.
But, what the group does have on its side is a genuine sense of majesty about their sound, however much posturing has to be involved in the making of this kind of music. They’ve spent quite a bit of time developing these themes, and they, in turn, have genuinely left a mark on the musicians.
