Interview with Coco Reilly

Coco Reilly

We’ve reviewed Coco Reilly for our site before with her mysterious, enchanting single Oh Oh My My. Recently, we’ve had the good fortune of interviewing Ms. Reilly ahead of the release of her debut album.

The artist talked candidly about her musical roots, the struggles to record the perfect version of her debut record, and just how she manages to transpose the music from her imagination on to tape.

Ms. Reilly talked to us from the comfort of her new Icelandic residency. While this may seem an odd choice at first glance, the U.S.-born singer told us about the thriving North-European art-scene, the scenic beauty that inspires her work, and her newfound appreciation of Icelandic ambient music.

The talk is part of a series of video interviews featured on Alt77’s new YouTube channel. If you’d like to support us, or are simply looking for a good deed at Christmas, consider liking and subscribing to the channel.
