Waldo Witt – Tragicomedy

Genre: Psychedelic Rock

Once a human reaches maturity, it’s very likely that without proper stimulation, their brain won’t evolve any further. In fact, if not given the proper aid, it’s more than likely that it will begin to develop neuropathways it has struggled to create.

One of the most powerful ways that people can fight against this decline is to work on their imagination as if trying to develop a muscle group. In other words, it’s supposed for it to ache and to be hard work.

Working on seeing and hearing things that are not actually there is a marvelous way to ensure that our brains can still evolve. Psychedelic rock, in many ways, is an agent for this evolution.

Waldo Witt’s Tragicomedy is a colorful, bright tune dedicated to the power of make-believe. This is a song that flows like a soundtrack tailored for a movie playing exclusively inside the author’s mind. This is music designed for people looking to escape to foreign lands.

IZZY DED – All The Good Horses

Similar artists: Sturgill Simpson, Pecos & The Rooftops, Ottoman Turks, Zach Bryan, Johnny Cash, Paul Cauthen

Genre: Americana, Alt-Country, Garage Rock

Few people are really happy. Go on and ask them. You’re even more likely to find dissatisfied folk in Western, wealthy nations. Having seen such riches, as the old James song goes, they can’t stand to be poor.

The truth is that people get used to having a good life pretty quickly. The truth is also that people get used to having a terrible life as well, although for them, changing roles is much more difficult.

People would rather not think of the ones less fortunate than themselves for a few reasons. Few of them are noble. For the most part, they’d rather avoid the blues or avoid having to admit the good cards that they themselves have been dealt.

Behind the country-influenced chords, IZZY DED’s All The Good Horses is a cry in the night against the forgetfulness of the luck that most of us enjoy while others enjoy none. This may not change the world. Not at this point. But it’s a rare reality check, one that most Western musicians would fight viciously to avoid having to think about.
