Psychedelic is designed to either enhance or change your mood. In that sense, it is similar to pop music. Both work to alter what you’re feeling. They just go about it in a different way.
Pop music will talk about things that exist. Usually, it’s things that you don’t possess. It’ll make them look even more attractive. And it will make you believe that those objectives are within reach.
Psychedelic music, however, works on your imagination. It functions by speaking about things that do not exist, at least not in a physical sense. It jumbles sounds and colors. It dares to experiment on yourself and your moods.
Dark Dazey’s Chameleon is a pretty and funky psychedelic love song. It gets its cues from the gentle confusion of romantic affection. The groove moves patiently like a child bouncing up and down the street to school. Psychedelia can be, after all, very hopeful.

There are only so many ways an artist can represent the world as it is before fans get angry. Yes, music, too, should tell the truth. But what happens when the truth is almost always uncomfortable to hear?
Artists are great at bending the truth. It’s how they make up stories. It’s how they invent worlds. And, since they have the power to do this, why not dream of a world as it should be?
The likes of Brian Wilson and Paul McCartney created sounds that felt like soundtracks to your best day on this planet. You won’t actually always feel this way. Still, their songs will remind you of it.
KIND WORLD’s A Silly Thing is a song built off a lush orchestration and delicate vocal deliveries. All of the roads lead toward beautifully crafted harmonies. Think of this as harmonies dedicated to an alternative reality.
Thanks very much for the lovely review and for sharing KIND WORLD music!
