Kinson provides a German slice of stylish garage-rock on “No doubt we can”. At its best, the track is reminiscent of the Black Keys’ more recent albums, ones in which the duo married their minimalist sound to retro soul and blues song constructions.
“No Doubt We Can” makes ample use of a similar minimalist approach, letting the straight drum rhythm act as an ambassador for the group throughout most of the song. The swaggering vocals spit out rhymes confidently under the safety of well-chosen effects. The rest of the instrumentation plays its part too, but those so subtly, careful to stick to the background.
This single is the work of a garage band looking to find an entry on to the radio waves and providing a glossy, well-produced single to support their claims.
