Lespectre – Such A Simple Thing (Review)

Lespectre - Such A Simple Thing

If the Cocteau Twins had spent time enjoying their Christmas holidays and felt compelled to write an album that echoed their new-found zest for life, it might sound like Lespectre.

As the name might suggest, Lespectre makes slow, hazy dream pop, where evocative melodies matter just as the much as the atmosphere surrounding them. It’s music to soundtrack a dream about falling really, really slowly on to something soft.
