According to LoveLeo’s official bio (real name Leo Reilly) the first song that he ever recorded was a rap fed directly into the Soundcloud app. In a matter of days, the kids at the school that Leo was attending all knew the song which turned him into a local hero.
The pop-singer has been chasing the same viral advancement of music in his career since. The video for “Head over heels” seems designed to allow for widespread shares. In one scene Leo is bowling with a watermelon, shooting down pins of his own face. In another scene, a gigantic Leo is peeking into an apartment where a miniature Leo is sleeping. Leo seems pretty into Leo.
As for the song itself, it sounds like indie/bedroom pop, written and directed by an old industry pro like Desmond Child, who knows how to craft a catchy chorus and splash everything else in technicolor designs. It’s silly, fun, very well produced and fans of Billie Eilish, of which there are millions, are likely to really enjoy this.
