People who spend much of their lives trying to convince themselves or others of their faultless conscience are wasting plenty of time. Worse still, if that really were the truth, they’d probably amount to nothing. Some of the worse things that happen to us end up being some of the most important things in our development.
Anger, in particular, can be a tremendously powerful vehicle. It can boost someone’s energy and drive. It can propel them toward reaching their goals. What other option do people that feel incredible anger have anyway? Start screaming at their dogs, their neighbors, people in traffic? That won’t do.
Club Bombardier’s “Anger Management” is a punk-rock meditation on the importance of having a bit of a temper and the risk that goes along with not properly making use of it. Musically, the song is built on the kind of foundations laid out by California skate-punk bands. However, the way that these themes are expressed, and the energy added to the song are entirely the band’s own.

There are rockstars who’ve never appeared in public without their sunglasses and leather jackets. Nobody knows what they really look like or how they manage to survive during the hot summer months.
It may sound a bit extreme, but I’m thankful for these kinds of artists. Just like method actors, it is their devotion to their craft that truly enriches everyone’s experience.
You see, most people lead average, rather boring lives. Those things don’t make for good songs or for exciting stories. Peel the mystery away from life or from our heroes, and we’re left with boring, predictable chatter about regular life.
MFV’s “Barnburner” sounds like the music of people that drive their sports cars on the edge of cliffs or get into bar fights just for fun. Their music doesn’t flirt with anything ordinary or banal. “Barnburner” is a tune that echoes the manic country-rock frenzy of The Gun Club at their best. And, if you know anything about this kind of music, you’ll know that it’s not produced while sipping tea early in the morning.
