Missing Fingers – Rat King
Genre: Punk, Post-Punk, Grunge

Missing Fingers shine a dim light on the squalor and decay on the single Rat King.
Some people are able to make good use of the anger and nervous energy with which they are burdened. Most others become a nuisance to society. The ones that don’t end up doing harm to others, often inflict it on themselves. These folks rarely ever find themselves at ease, and can’t enjoy the fruits of their toil.
There’s something to be said about processing anger in a positive way. Sure, that’s a given. But, there’s also something to be said about being angry in the first place. If aimed at the right doors, it can blow them apart. It sure works better than peaceful meditation in that sense.
Missing Fingers are students of anger as can be heard on their single Rat King. Their predecessors are punk bands not especially known for mincing words or for unnecessary subtleties. Missing Fingers sound like a group in perpetual crisis mode. Hearing the way that they react is fascinating though.

Sprints, with their single Little Fix, prove that they’re one of the young bands worth investing plenty of interest in.
There are people out there who are waiting for the next great punk rock band in the same way that various religions await their saving figure. These people consume endless amounts of music. These people usually complain about it. They’re immensely happy on the rare occasions that they find what they’re looking for.
There are worse things that one can waste life on. There are certainly many less rewarding things that are more demanding of your time, affection, money. In many ways, the punk-rockers that are waiting for the next Joe Strummer to strap on a guitar are like cured hippies, optimists but with a limit.
Well, these people might want to cast their hearing and glances in the direction of ol’ Dublin. Sprints has the potential to be a punk-rock saving force as shown on the single Little Fix. Sprints are clever, light on their feet, and they sound like they’re clawing their way out of a sinking box all through the duration of the song.
Sprints, with their single Little Fix, prove that they’re one of the young bands worth investing plenty of interest on. This is Alt77’s review.
