Rodeo FM – Summer Rain (Review)

Rodeo FM - Summer Rain

If it is indeed true that your heroes have the largest powers of influence, then I worry for Rodeo FM. They claim Gram Parsons, Whiskeytown’s Ryan Adams, and Roky Erickson as influences, people who are best seemed admired from a safe distance. It’s not mere name-dropping either.

Indeed, Americana-obsessed German outfit sounds to have travelled some of the same bumpy roads as their heroes. This is reflected in the well-crafted single Summer Rain, a gently melancholic travelling song that proves America is where you make it.
