New York City remains the rock n roll Mecca as far as most teens, starting their own bands, are concerned. The Velvet Underground had the New York Dolls. The Strokes had the Velvet Underground. And, everyone else in the past 20 years has sounded like the Strokes.
It’s not a bad thing in itself of course. SORRY IT’S OVER mix the garage rock sounds of Julian Casablanca’s prep-school unit, with lofi production values, and even a bit of electronic elements.
The result is quite pleasant and should get them free drinks across the city!
