The original line-up of the Misfits to play first show since 2019

MIsfits - live reunion

The reunited version of The Misfits is among the groups preparing for post-pandemic live dates. The punk legends have announced that they will headline Day 2 of the Aftershock festival in Sacramento.

Billing themselves as the Original Misfits, the reunion between Glenn Danzig, Jerry Only and Doyle surprised many when it was announced in 2016. Perhaps even more surprising is the fact that the group will continue playing together in a live setting.

The Misfits have announced that they will play the Aftershock festival in October 2021. This will be the first time that the group has played live since 2019.

Numerous festivals have announced their lineups for 2021 and many are optimistic that these will go on as planned. Unsurprisingly, many of the important festivals include a who’s who of rock groups desperate to get back on the road.

Aftershock is no exception. Metallica is set to headline on two days of the festival. Rancid, The Offspring, Body Count, Mudvayne, Social Distortion, or Rise Against are among the other groups featured on the bill.
