I’ve Got a Feeling sounds as if it was created by one of the Beatles, on a solo effort, a few decades after the group broke up.
It’s built on a foundation of likable chord changes, pleasant melodies, and it’s overall entirely non-threatening. The mantra of the tune is “I’ve got a feeling we can make a little bit of a difference if we try.”
It’s easy to view this with cynicism, especially given the state of the world and the way that music trends reflect it. But, at the core of everything, it’s a truthful message and a moderate political approach.
Some bands get by on their smile and melodies alone, The Noted is one of those groups and sometimes that’s enough.
