The Strange Ones - Don't Let 'Em Get You Down (Review)

The Strange Ones sound as exuberant as a kid with a new toy. In many ways they remind me Supergrass, those unsung heroes of Brit-pop.

If I have one critique of the garage rock extravaganza presented here is that the vocals sound as if the singer is going down drowning for the third time.

It’s a stylistic choice I’m sure, and with a few listens it adds to the overall vibe of the recording. If you’re planning on throwing a house party this weekend, while your parents are away, this may be the band you’ll want to call.
