British indie-rock band, The Vaccines, have seemingly confirmed the completion of their fifth full-length studio album. The news was shared via social media and has been greeted with enthusiasm by fans.
The group bestowed the news in a cryptic manner which leaves a number of issues up for interpretation. The band’s Twitter account uploaded a picture showing the length of 47 minutes for 13 songs. It was captioned “mixed”.
The Vaccines released their highly-praised debut album What did you expect from the Vaccines? in 2011. The reviews usually focused on the group’s high energy and singer-songwriter Justin Young’s humorous lyrics. The band also earned plenty of fans through their boisterous live shows and festival appearances.
While the group opted to experiment on their subsequent two albums, 2018’s Combat Sports seemed to return them to their roots. Thay year, Justin Young even commented on his commitment towards the band, saying he had opted to save his best compositions for the Vaccines rather than using them for other artists as he had done in the past.
No official date or title for the Vaccines’ new album is available yet. The band will likely release updates soon.
