Interview with Nashville dynamic-duo, VOLK

VOLK interview

True rock heroes are hard to find these days, but Nashville duo, VOLK, certainly fit the bill as exemplified, maybe, best of all by their recent single Welcome to Cashville. Finally, here’s a band with the energy and pace of AC/DC and the soft songwriting touch of Townes van Zandt.

In our interview with the band we got to talk about the group’s beginnings, in Berlin, Germany of all places, as well as what Nashville, the Mecca of songwriting means to them now.

The duo also told us their opinion abut the state of rock music at the moment and where they see live events heading into the near future.

With a sound that has evolved from one release to the other, VOLK are looking to bring forth some of the biggest surprises of their career so far on their upcoming album, a project which they describe in this interview.
